Stretching two feet across the table, this Acacia Wood Grazing Board creates a generous foundation for cheeses, cured meats, fruit, breads, and small bites. The narrow rectangular form keeps an expansive arrangement within easy reach, while a subtly finished live edge interrupts the clean geometry with the natural movement of the wood.
Rich bands of brown grain travel along the board from end to end, giving even the simplest arrangement depth before the first ingredient is placed. At just over half an inch thick, its low profile allows the food and material to remain the focus.
Third-Generation Craft: The board is made by a workshop led by Fortunato, a third-generation Filipino woodworker carrying forward a family practice begun in the 1970s.
Traditional Hand Tools: While much of the surrounding industry has shifted toward mechanized production, the 25-person team continues shaping its woodwork with established techniques and hand tools.
Six Hours of Work: Each grazing board takes approximately six hours to complete.
Made in Plaridel: Produced in Plaridel, Philippines, within the province of Bulacan.
Sustainably Sourced Acacia: Dense acacia wood provides a richly colored surface marked by changing bands of grain.
Live-Edge Detail: One naturally influenced edge adds movement without compromising the board’s clean, elongated silhouette.
Two-Foot Length: The 24-inch span creates room for a varied grazing arrangement while remaining narrow enough for the center of a table.
Individual Surface: Differences in grain, tone, and edge contour preserve the distinct character of each piece of wood.
Charcuterie Service: Arrange meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, and accompaniments in a continuous composition.
Bread Presentation: Use the full length for sliced baguettes, rolls, pastries, or flatbreads.
Shared Appetizers: Set the board between guests so each element remains visible and easy to reach.
Seasonal Centerpiece: Display fruit or gathered natural materials when the board is not being used for serving.
