This throw is created through a multi step process that brings together carving, printing, dyeing, and Kantha stitching. The design is applied using hand carved wooden blocks, pressed onto cotton to form its layered border pattern and repeating floral motifs. Once printed, the fabric is passed to Kantha quiltmakers who hand stitch the textile onto a cotton base, creating a lightly textured surface with visible threadwork.
