Stinson Ovoid Antique Brass Hanging Bell

Stinson Ovoid Antique Brass Hanging Bell

Rounded metal forms descend along a slender cord, ending in a polished oak sail that moves with the breeze. The Stinson Ovoid Hanging Bell brings together sound, motion, and sculpture in a composition that feels equally at home near an entryway, open window, or sheltered porch.

Handmade in India, the substantial bell and spherical clappers are formed from sand cast aluminum and finished in warm antique brass. The softly irregular surface preserves evidence of the casting process, giving the modern silhouette a distinctly handcrafted character.

A Sculptural Ovoid Form

Soft Curves with Striking Vertical Scale

The generously rounded main bell creates a strong focal point, while smaller suspended spheres continue the shape downward. At more than 31 inches long, the complete composition introduces movement and visual height without requiring wall space.

Designed to Move with the Air

An Oak Sail Catches the Breeze

A disc shaped oak sail hangs beneath the metal forms, responding to passing air and setting the internal clappers in motion. The result brings a shifting combination of metallic sound and gentle movement to the surrounding space.

Sand Cast Antique Brass

Craftsmanship Visible Across the Surface

Sand casting gives the aluminum a lightly textured finish that reflects light differently across every curve. The antique brass color adds warmth to the metal, while the natural oak sail creates an earthy contrast below.
