The Earth Lines Pitcher pairs a familiar serving shape with the tonal variation of exposed clay. Fine vertical markings circle the upper body, then give way to a smooth lower half finished in a transparent glaze. A curved handle and softly uneven rim preserve the subtle differences created as each pitcher is formed and finished by hand.
Made in a small ceramic atelier outside Marrakech, the pitcher combines mid-century-influenced design with Moroccan ceramic craft. It is available in two sizes for serving everything from cream and dressing to water and mixed drinks, then moves easily from the table to the kitchen counter as a holder for utensils or seasonal stems.
Maâlem-Led Atelier: Production is guided by a Maâlem, the Moroccan title given to a master craftsperson. He also teaches ceramics, passing established skills to other makers while continuing to refine the atelier’s work.
Handmade from Beginning to End: Each pitcher is individually shaped, detailed, glazed, and finished rather than produced to mechanical uniformity.
Spanish Clay, Moroccan Craft: A blend of black and white clays sourced from Spain is selected for its strength, texture, and natural coloring, then worked by hand in Morocco.
Individual Form: Small shifts in proportion, line work, glaze, and tone distinguish one pitcher from another.
Transparent Earth Glaze: The glaze seals the ceramic while allowing the natural color and tonal movement of the clay to remain visible.
Linear Upper Band: Closely spaced vertical markings bring texture and rhythm to the upper portion of the vessel.
Earth-Toned Finish: The clay and glaze can move through warm gray, mushroom, taupe, and muted brown.
Rounded Handle: A generous loop completes the compact profile and provides a comfortable point of grip when pouring.
Small: A low, rounded pitcher suited to milk, cream, dressing, sauces, or other smaller portions. It can also hold flatware or compact kitchen tools.
Large: A taller vessel for water, juice, mocktails, or mixed drinks, with enough height to hold wooden spoons or a modest arrangement of flowers.
